Kindergarten Kickoff in Henry County Schools
Kindergarten registration opens March 25 for families of Henry County children who will be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2025.

Locust Grove Excellence
Clubs & Organizations: Discover Your Passion at Locust Grove Elementary! We offer a wide variety of clubs and organizations to inspire and engage our students.
At Locust Grove Elementary, we challenge and inspire young minds through our Advanced Math program for qualifying 3rd-5th grade students. The program provides an enriched learning experience to help students excel and reach their full potential in mathematics.
Locust Grove Elementary was recognized by the Georgia Department of Education for being 2023-2024 Masters of Mathematics. We are a school that is focused on elevating achievement for students through mathematics.
At LGE, we are utilizing structured literacy to deliver instruction based on the science of reading to ensure that all students will be able to read on or above grade level. With tools such as Amira, iReady, Writable, and HMH resources we are providing students with instruction catered to their needs.
Locust Grove Elementary enriches student learning with exciting weekly specials including STEM, Spanish, Music, Art, and PE. These programs inspire creativity and ensure a well-rounded and engaging educational experience for every child.
Through wellness activities, resources, parent meetings, individual and small group sessions, and a dedicated CARE TEAM, we ensure every student has a caring person in the building to meet their needs.
