LGE Safety Patrol – 2025–2026

Locust Grove Elementary is proud to introduce our 2025–2026 Safety Patrol, made up of 17 outstanding 5th-grade student leaders dedicated to promoting safety, responsibility, and school pride throughout our campus. Our official Safety Patrol Induction Ceremony was held on October 16, 2025, celebrating these students for their commitment to service and leadership.

We were honored to welcome Safety Pup, our School Resource Officer, Officer Fountain, and members of our local Henry County Police Department (HPD) to this special event. Officer Fountain served as our guest speaker, encouraging our patrol members to lead by example and take pride in helping keep our school community safe. Following the ceremony, students and families enjoyed light refreshments as we recognized our newest Safety Patrol members.

The LGE Safety Patrol plays a vital role each day by assisting with safe school operations—especially during our high-traffic morning arrival times and at school eventsSafety Patrol Duties & Responsibilities

Safety Patrol members support our school community by:

  • Assisting with morning arrivals to help ensure students move safely and calmly into the building
  • Supporting hallway transitions so classes can travel smoothly and safely
  • Monitoring restroom areas in hallways to promote respectful behavior and report concerns
  • Providing assistance during school events and special activities
  • Serving as positive role models by demonstrating leadership, responsibility, and teamwork at all times

Through their dedication and service, our Safety Patrol students help create a welcoming, organized, and safe learning environment for all Wildcats. We are incredibly proud of their leadership and commitment to making Locust Grove Elementary a great place to learn and grow! 🐾
