A school-parent compact accomplishment is a collaborative agreement created by educators, parents, and students. It explains how educators and parents will collaborate to ensure that every student meets grade-level expectations

What is a family-school compact?

  • Connection to the school improvement plan’s objectives
  • Emphasize the abilities that students will learn
  • Describe the methods by which teachers will use excellent instruction to assist students in acquiring those skills
  • Explain how parents and teachers will communicate about their child’s progress
  • Provide opportunities for parents to volunteer, watch, and engage in the classroom.
  • Provide academic skills that parents can employ at home.

Jointly Developed

*This school-parent compact for achievement was created by the Locust Grove Elementary staff, parents, and students. Students informed us what would help them learn, parents provided ideas to make them more precise, and teachers proposed ways for at-home learning. Meetings are held annually to examine and amend the compact in light of the academic demands of the students.
